Faurby 420
We wanted to make the Faurby 420 more comfortable and more capable of extended cruising. On deck her coachroof is low keeping her looking sharp and purposeful – without compromising headroom – while her long cockpit runs in the Faurby tradition of being sheltered and safe. Forward there’s deep stowage in the form of a forward sail locker. This extra sail locker not only provides stowage for offwind sails precisely where it’s needed, it also moves the forward cabin further aft so the whole cabin benefits from the extra beam, bringing an increased sense of space in a fast, slender hull shape. The double berth offers its occupants more room and there is more stowage for clothing and possessions.
The extra hull length also allows the option of a twin heads configuration, giving the owner a private en suite toilet and shower compartment.
The saloon makes the most of the 3.40m (11ft 2in) beam – it’s spacious and, thanks to the twin overhead hatches, remarkably bright with good ventilation. Given her size, there are many more options for an owner to choose, every part of the interior can be moved and shaped to your specific requirements depending on how and where you sail. You can choose the size and orientation of the chart table, the size you dedicate to the heads and shower compartment and also the shape and location of the galley. There is no standard interior, it’s all built for you and on the F420 you have more space available and thus more scope for personalisation.
On deck, you benefit from the extra length with a longer more spacious cockpit while still retaining high, safe coamings and excellent cockpit stowage.
