European Oak gets its name from the medieval Europe, also known as French Oak or English Oak. The timeless beauty of this type of oak compliments both contemporary and traditional spaces, revealing a feeling of warmth and elegance to any yacht.
Faurby Philosophy
We are clear in our philosophy: we want you to have the best yacht for you and not what’s best for anyone else. Within the hull, we give you unlimited, hand-crafted choice. Whether you bring us 12 pages of details or just a few parameters that your new boat must fulfil, we’ll work with you to make your dream yacht a reality.
More than just a brand
Many features and details make a Faurby yacht unique amongst her contemporaries. By far the best way to appreciate a Faurby is to visit us at one of the many boat shows where we exhibit, or arrange to visit our factory and have a test sail.
Only by being on board can you fully appreciate the work of our craftsmen. Run your fingers over a wooden joint – a joint that your eyes can see but your fingers won’t feel. All our varnishing is done by hand, not by machine. This gives the best possible finish.
Walk the teak deck that was hand-shaped and hand-laid. Inspect the toerail and outer plank, which is the same piece of wood whether it’s the height of the toerail or sculpted away to be flush with the deck at the customised mooring cleats.
Once you’ve seen with your eyes you need to sail a Faurby to realise just why we make our boats the way we do. Take the tiller or wheel and feel her respond and obey you, appreciate how stiff she feels on the water and how well-mannered that makes her. You’ll see and feel just what speeds she is capable of in any given wind conditions.
If you’ve never sailed a Faurby, you’ll be in for a real treat.
